Welcome to East-West University!
Unique strength within diversity. At East-West University, unique sense of identity
prevails. Strength of the university comes from its concerned and caring faculty
and staff. Within the environment of East-West is a sense of community. Finally,
diversity is the real strength of East-West University.
Since it was founded in 1980, East-West has made affordability,
quality instruction, small class size and convenient location the
hallmarks of its reputation. A comprehensive financial aid package
is available, including institutional scholarships to most students.
The annual tuition and fees are among the lowest of any private
university in the Midwest.
Located in Chicago’s bustling South Loop area and easily accessible
by public transportation, East-West offers bachelor's degrees in
such fields as business administration, computer and information
science, electronics technology and the liberal arts. In addition,
one- and two-year certificates are offered in various areas.
The University has also won acclaim for its electroneurodiagnostic
technology (ENDT) program, which trains students to become multi-skilled
professional allied health technologists. The success of ENDT has
enabled East-West to establish affiliation agreements with such
prestigious hospitals as Loyola University Medical Center, Evanston
Hospital and the University of Chicago Hospital. It has helped
fuel the growth of the campus, which has nearly tripled in enrollment
since 1990.
For a relatively small institution, East-West boasts a sizable
number of international students. Contributing to the diversity
has been an infusion of native speakers of Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese,
Hindi, Korean, Mongolian, Polish, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Singhalese,
Spanish, Thai and Urdu.
To better accommodate its students, faculty and staff, the University
has recently implemented a state-of-the-art computer technology
system and multi-media center.
